Glenloy Wildlife to offer new range of products

Published: 11th November 2015

We ring the changes in 2016 to bring more wildlife opportunities to suit all:

Pine Marten Breaks

As well as our standard 7 and 4 day wildlife holidays we are now offering specific pine marten breaks for folk with either limited time or who want to do their own thing. We will happily provide a little bit of local expertise and guidance enabling you to search for local wildlife and of course, enjoy watching the pine martens that visit the Lodge. (find out more)

Bespoke holidays

For those that want a more personalised approach we can now offer bespoke holidays, outwith our scheduled holidays, in which we are willing to travel a little further to search for wildlife, tailor the days to your requirements and even provide transport links to destinations other than Fort William. Ideal for photographers, those with a specific mission or simply those who find it difficult to get out and about. (find out more)

Day trips and safaris

We will also be pleased to offer a range of full day and shorter safaris to visitors to the area who are not staying at the Lodge. Available on dates when holidays are not being run, particularly in the peak July and August holiday period, you can choose from general trips to look for eagles, otters, deer, squirrels and seals (the Scottish Big Five) as well as lots more, or more specific trips. These might include a boat trip to look for eagles on the otherwise inaccessible Loch Shiel, taking the funicular to spot montane species such as ptarmigan or dotterel, marine trips to look for whales, basking sharks or puffins or watch black grouse lekking. Have a half day beachcombing and rock-pooling or searching for red deer. Why not let us know what you want to see and we will do our best to help you find it! As with all Glenloy Wildlife holidays we will include some walking whenever possible, and will be happy to show you the full range of wildlife amongst the stunning Lochaber scenery. (find out more)

Evening Pine Marten Viewing

By popular demand – for those who really want to see pine martens but are limited for time. We will have evening viewing opportunities on selected dates, when you will be met and escorted to the Lodge where you can watch the pine martens being fed whilst enjoying tea and cake from the comfort of the sun lounge.
